Vectorian Giotto - Flash Animation Tool 2.06

If you are a beginner or you have no no knowledge of programming or scripting and are looking for a quick and easy way of creating professional Flash animations for websites, install and run Vectorian Giotto. Including a total of 15 vector drawing tools - selection, subselection, line, lasso, insert bitmap, text, oval, rectangle, pencil, brush, free transform, ink bottle, paint bucket, eyedropper and eraser; supporting layers and gradient fills as well as intersection, union and difference operations on objects, make Vectorian Giotto a good tool for creating animations. You can also combine and manipulate text, images and shapes to create Flash movies. In case you want to add a personal touch to your animations, you can use one of the various effects such as: objects translate, rotate, change size, change color or gradient fill, stretch, skew etc.

Pluses: Intuitive interface and easy to learn how to work with it. You can preview the results with the inbuilt player, so you do not need to open another browser window.

Drawbacks / flaws: The help section is hosted on the producer's website, in case you want to have access to help files, you can download the PDF available at http://www.vectorian.com/help/vectoriangiotto.htm. Too much of a hassle, in my opinion.

In conclusion: Since no programming knowledge is required, Victorian Giotto is recommended for beginners or anyone who'd like to have a taste of creating one's own flash presentations. In all, a very good authoring tool.
