| | MG Shadow allows you to keep a sharp eye on your computer while you are away. It will create records of all activity performed on the computer while the program was running.
Just like any monitoring application, MG Shadow can be password protected, to prevent unauthorized access to its settings, and can be run in stealth mode, to be unnoticed by "wrongdoers". You can also set the program to notify the user that the program is currently running and monitoring any activity.
You can set the program to filter URLs, monitor the activity of any user on the computer, create logs containing keystrokes, which include Esc, Ctrl, Alt, Insert, Delete, etc., as well as take screenshots at specific time intervals, for which a setting is available. The report includes running programs/applications, open windows, keystrokes, visited Web sites, sent and received emails, and instant messenger activity. The report can be exported in HTML or TXT format.
Pluses: The reports can be sent via email to a remote destination and all you do is to enter the server, user info, mail format (HTML or text), and report an interval. There is also a scheduler included in case you need to monitor time intervals over a longer period.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: A very good system monitoring tool. It's very well designed, easy to use, fully featured, and reliable.
