 | | EarthTime displays the local time and date of several cities around the world. This application can be used by people who travel a lot in order to keep track of the timezone they are currently in. Over 3000 cities from all over the world are included.
The application uses your Windows regional (timezone) and time settings for calculating the date and time of the other cities. Using the program is very simple. The user interface always displays a world map. The nice thing about it is the fact that the areas lit by the sun are highlighted.
You can choose multiple towns to display. Every couple of seconds, each town is shown on the map using a red arrow. On the other hand, the time and date of all the towns you previously chose, are shown on the main program window.
Pluses: EarthTime allows you to set alarms. You choose any city and the time and date (from that city) when the alarm must be triggered. So, for example, you could set the alarm to be triggered when the time in Los Angeles is 7:00 AM, although you live in New York (different time zone).
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: EarthTime keeps you informed about the current time and date in different timezones.
