| What is a chess study? A chess study is an artificially composed position, normally started by the white which perform the instruction (or, in this case, win) without any restriction of the number of moves. 1000 Chess Problems & 1000 Chess Endgame Studies will be of interest to amateur chess players, both the beginners and experienced ones. The best chess problems and studies, most of which, regardless of the level of complexity, being distinguished by wisecrack and ingenious solutions, logic design and brilliant patterns, have been selected from various popular compositions in the course of program development. International Grand Master Yakov Vladimirov, 14-time world champion on the elaboration and resolution of checkboard patterns, directly participated in the above selection. The software programs are featured with a simple and understandable interface, a small volume of storage space, and a convenient system of chess problem classification. Our programs are sure to help you plunge in the exciting world of chess for long hours and to positively charge you emotionally.

The program issued thanks to the efforts of the Novexer company will be of use to all chess amateurs. A demo-version of the program can be downloaded from the following site: http://www.handango.com, but its better you not stint it and purchase a full version thereof as, in this case, a thousand of interesting chess problems and a thousand of chess studies will appear at your disposal. The program interface contains all what is necessary so as to seek to find a solution. This is a very comfortable function enabling you to see the available choice of moves for a particular piece, however, experienced chess players can turn it off. The sequence of moves is displayed in the list dropping in the right upper part of the screen. Other actions available after calling menu commands are doubled by the control panel buttons. The program can be set by using the command Menu\Settings or the hammer-depicted button. The color of chessboard elements is set in this particular mode, the interface being made in the fashion customary for the Windows operational system. Should you happen to forget an initial position while resolving a problem, you can turn back to it by using the third button to the left, and, where you wish to turn back to a previous or following move (if any such move was made and, then, cancelled), use buttons with arrows. By using the command Menu\Problems or the file opening button on the control panel, you can open a file with chess problems or to select a desired one from those already available to the open file. You are thus enabled to limit the list of problems by the number of moves (the List of Moves) and chess pieces (the List of Pieces) or by the author (the Field for introducing the Author). Finally, unless you can resolve a problem by yourself, you can find the answer by using the command Menu\Problem info or the respective control panel button. The program gives an ample opportunity to considerably increase the level of preparation for the beginners, and it will be of use to experienced chess players as well. |
