PViewer is a process viewer application for your smartphone. It gives you an opportunity to view which processes are currently running on your smartphone, sort them, filter them, view their details, and even kill them.
It is a usefull facility for smartphone software developers or for those who just curious about what is inside their gadget. For convenience the application can return your smartphone's IMEI.
The application is delivered as a standard Symbian installation package that can be installed from internet or from your PC. Simply run the installation.
After the application is installed you can use it. The application is composed of two pans: Processes and About. The Processes pan title contains the number of current processes. The Processes pan enlists the names of currently running processes in human-readable form. Select the process, which interests you, and activate Options menu to view its details or to kill it. Default OK press activates detailed view of currently selected process.
The detailed view renders the list of process properties. If certain property is too long and is collapsed, such as executable file specification or command line parameters, press OK button and the list will be put in the read-only extended mode, where you can view the entire property and copy it to clipboard.
In the Processes pan you can sort the processes ascending or descending (in the Options menu) and filter the processes by just typing process beginning letters right on the processes list. You can combine sorting and filtering. You control the process list refreshing yourself by selecting Refresh menu command. This is done to reduce load on smartphone processor.
