| | | | | Psiloc Where I Am for SE P800/P900;Motorola920/925;BenQP30 Publisher's Description Psiloc Where I am is a powerful tool to perform various actions on the Sony Ericsson P800, P900, based on its geographical location. Locating of the device is based on the GSM network cells. Thanks to the application the GSM network cells ID are not visible for the end user. The only thing he/she has to do is to "teach" the mobile phone the important locations like home, school, work, best friend, train station, church etc. This work is very easy and doesn?t require any technical knowledge and understanding. It can be done from Options->Learn location on the first tab "Where?"
Once there is at least one location saved user can create events for this location. Currently Where I am offers four types of events:
Alarm That event means that end user may set up an alarm, that will activate when the mobile phone would approach or exit selected location (geographical area). So using this application end user may sleep in the train to work/school, knowing that his/her device will wake him/her up exactly at the desired station, even if the train will be late or before scheduled time.
SMS The automatic SMS sending event can be used to inform the end user family of coming back from work or to notify the coworker that the truck is coming to plan the work more effectively etc.
Start application The automatic start of the application can be very handy while using the specified applications always in the some location, for example Calculator at work.
Colors The event lets the end user switching between colors schemes created in Psiloc Color Schemes application based on the location of the device.
Where I am is very user friendly application and understandable for every users even though it implements a highly sophisticated technology. More advanced user can consider using miniGPS instead of Where I am. MiniGPS gives the user more technical information but is far more complicated to use. Using both of them on the same phone is now possible.
