| | | | | Baseball Lineup Manager Publisher's Description | Please note: If you have a Palm OS 5 device, such as Tungsten, Treo 600, Zire or the Kyocera 7135 (which is Palm OS 4, but can't emulate 8bpp), please purchase this version instead. Create and maintain a baseball lineup, including field positions by inning and batting order! Great for coaches! Get it now for baseball season! I, the developer of this application was a baseball coach last fall, and I developed this tool to help me create and manage the lineup. In pony league, we switched kids around approximately every 2 innings. I found that it was sometimes difficult realize that I sometimes had assigned 2 players to the same position in the same inning. Especially after having fully completed the lineup, then going back to make "tweaks". So, I have built in a feature that notifies you when you assign a duplicate postion. Right after that happens, the cell containing the duplicated position is highlighted to call attention to the error.
Having the lineup with you at all times and not on paper can really be a plus. Let's say 2 kids call 5 minutes before a game and say they won't make it. You can make the change "on the fly" and not worry about doubling up positions. You can make changes to the lineup anytime you get notified.
Once you enter the data it is saved, so you can always start with last game's lineup as a base for creating a new lineup.
The following features are included: - Ability to manually add players one at a time
- If you already have the Baseball Tracker, you have the capability to add the list of players from the baseball tracker's database.
- Ability to assign positions by inning
- Ability to specify the number of innings (6 is the default).
- Ability to delete players.
- Ability to re-order player's position in the batting order while retaining all the field assignments that've been made to that player thus far.
- The ability to intermediately save your data.
- Instructions for the program are available via the '?' button.
- Lineup screen shows 9 players per screen. To view players 10 and greater, you can advance to the next screen by pressing the '>' button. You can get back by pressing the '<' button.
- To view the higher innings (such as greater than 6), you can scroll to the right using the '>>>' button and scroll back to the left using the '<<<' button.
