Chicken Invaders is a fun, addictive game, that is able to keep you at your computer for many hours. I played the first version of this game about two years ago, and I still like it. The second version (this one) comes with improved mouse control, with new types of power-ups, and different types of chickens.
The story of the game says that chickens are invading the solar system. Your goal is to kill as many as you can while at the same time driving your spaceship out of harm's way. You must avoid falling eggs and collect as many power-ups as you can in order to boost your firepower. The power-ups are shaped just like presents. You should also gather chunks of chicken and money that fall off when you kill almost each bird.
The game can be played by two players, simultaneously, on the same computer. One can play with the mouse, while the other can use the keyboard.
Pluses: You can upload your high-scores to the Internet and compare yourself to other gamers.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: I really like this game. In joking, I think it's a nice way of spending your time at work.
