Due to requests from our users who are pilots, we are pleased to announce that version 5.56 (and greater) now supports METAR data. You can now enter a 4 letter airport code and get the raw METAR data.

In addition, if you tap on the current weather icon, the raw data will be decoded for you.

Version 5.73 also has the enhanced icons (below) which were introduced in version 5.55.

Stock and Weather Today is actually 4 applications built into 1. 

1. Weather Application: Monitor the weather for up to 6 cities.
2. Local time: Displays the local time for the city you are tracking.
3. Stock Application: Monitor up to 60 stocks.
4. Theme Switcher: Automatically display a theme which matches the current weather outside.

Weather Functionality

• Monitor the weather for up to 6 cities (US and international)

• Track US city by zip code (80020) or city, st (e.g., Denver, CO)

• Track International city by selecting country name from a list followed by cities from a secondary list. No need to know postal codes or longitude/latitude of the city.

• Get detailed weather information via a single tap.

• Get hazardous weather alerts (US cities only).

• Display local time of day for each city being tracked.

• Go directly to NOAA to get extremely detailed information (including current radar images)

• Configure the application to automatically display a theme which matches the weather outside.

• Fully configurable.

• Over 100 weather related themes are available for free (see below).

Stock Functionality

• Track up to 60 stocks.

• Set up to 60 alerts for any of the stocks you are tracking. Sample alerts are as follows:

•     Notify me if LU changes by 5% in a given day

•     Notify me if LU increases by 10% in a given day

•     Notify me if LU decreases by 15% in a given day

•     Notify me if LU crosses $5.00

•     Notify me if LU is above $5.00

•     Notify me if LU is below $3.00

• Get detailed trading information with a single tap.

• Automatically launch Pocket Internet Explorer and be taken to a web page which has detailed financial information about the stock (e.g., charts, analysts recommendation, etc.).

If you do not wish to have theme switching enabled then you don't need to download & install the themes. The application will work just fine without them.
