| | | | | Finding Fortunato -- Arms Publisher's Description | Finding Fortunato is a compelling educational game loosely based on the short story by Edgar Allan Poe, The Cask of Amontillado. As you recall from the story, Montressor has been grievously offended by his long-time associate Fortunato. One night, during festival season, he concocts this evil plan to entice Fortunato in to the winding catacombs beneath his castle, under the pretense of having a questionable bottle of wine called Amontillado. Fortunato fancies himself a connoisseur of fine wines, so he follows Montressor into the vaults even though he suffers from a bronchial disease that is only acerbated by the nitre that forms on the walls of the catacombs. At the end of their long journey below ground Montressor fastens the drunken Fortunato to a granite wall and walls him up – leaving him to die. In the Pocket PC version of our game, the user must travel down into the catacombs looking for the remains of Fortunato, collecting percentage points along the way. Depending on how industrious and strong he is, the user will either find Fortunato’s decaying bones or he will also die along the way. To make the adventure somewhat interesting we have added demons to the tunnels. They are both good and bad, depending on how the user fairs in a question match. As the user progresses through the tunnels he loses strength. If he encounters a demon he cannot pass the demon until he answers a questions the demon puts forth. It is a question from the original short story (so it might be a good idea to read the story before playing the game). If the use answers correctly he gets a good chunk of his strength back – allowing him to last longer in his search. If he gets the question wrong, he loses an even bigger chunk of strength. | | | | | Download Finding Fortunato -- Arms | Screenshots
