 | | ConvertXtoDVD is the easiest to use application that I've ever tested for encoding a DVD. Its really is a one-click solution as the publisher states. Nowadays, DVDs aren't that expensive, so instead of watching your favorite movie on your computer screen, maybe you like to use your DVD Player. That's when this software comes in handy.
I have an old DVD Player at home that only supports DVDs and VideoCDs. ConvertXtoDVD helps me create compatible DVDs and it even allows me to add switchable subtitles. Another thing that I really like about this program is the fact that it's possible to create nice-looking DVD menus with its help.
When adding subtitles you can select the preferred font, the size, and position. If your language uses a different charset you can select it when choosing the font. Speaking of languages, the user interface supports 26 different languages.
Pluses: The application can burn the DVD automatically when it finishes encoding. It can also shutdown your computer when encoding and writing the DVD finishes. However, I think the greatest thing about this software is the fact that it creates the DVD image directly, without any temporary files. You don't need to have tens of free gigabytes to encode a single DVD.
Drawbacks / flaws: Although I selected that I don't want to send anonymous usage statistics to the publisher, the "Send burn statistics to VSO online database" was selected when I started the program for the first time.
In conclusion: I am very happy with the way this software performs. That's why I recommend you try it too.
