Pluses: Extremely easy to use.
Drawbacks / flaws: Mpeg splitter features an unattractive gray interface, few options and it can only manage with mpg files. The trial version only allows the output of maximum three files or 10 seconds of split video.
In conclusion: In case you are dealing only with mpeg files and your expectations are at a low level, it might be helpful.
