| | In case you are looking for a tool to save you time when creating a map of your website, check out Site Map Pro. The program is easy to use and has lots of options you can choose from in order to create the site map you want. You can create new site maps or you can update previous maps created with this program and saved as ".myo" configuration files.
The process will be complete in a few easy steps due to the wizard-like interface: first, you have to create a new project or to update an existing one. Then, enter the address of the Website you wish to map and the default file name on the server (index.*). Select how many pages you wish to map (you can manually add excluded URLs). Choose the elements to display and Hyperlink, set links sort order, choose layout and sort groups. Choose a template or a stylesheet for the site map page if required and select the formatting of the output file.
After mapping is finished, you can assign links to groups, preview, edit and save the output file in HTML format.
Pluses: Google Sitemap Protocol XML support and Yahoo Sitemap support. Maps can be exported as XML and CSV files. Command line options can be used in order to automate the updating of the site maps. You can convert absolute link to relative links and the other way around.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: Reliable and fast, with a wizard-like interface which makes it easy to use, the program proves to be a very good Website mapping tool.
