 | | This software can be used to convert or merge bookmarks between Internet browsers like Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla or Netscape. If you ever wanted to remove duplicate bookmarks from your bookmark collection search no more. Bookmark Converter can also be used to search for duplicate URLs or names. It can be set up so it won't return results located in different folders. However, I don't like the fact that I couldn't select for deletion multiple duplicate bookmarks.
When I first tried to convert my bookmarks to Internet Explorer format, I didn't realize that the program warned me that it will delete any previous bookmarks available in the browser. So I went ahead and converted my Opera bookmarks to Internet Explorer, losing some of my bookmarks. You have to be careful when converting your bookmarks to IE format. Internet Explorer is the only browser which is directly supported, meaning that whenever you work with its bookmarks you will see the update immediately in the Favorites menu. When you work with Opera or Mozilla, in fact, you work with their exported bookmarks files. These files have to be exported and imported manually.
Another nice features this program has are the bookmark sorter and bookmark browser. You can sort, search, browse and export bookmarks using these features. Also, you have access to a syncronization method which can be scheduled to run automatically at boot time. Pluses: Simple to use interface, ability to repair Netscape bookmark files.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: If you want to manage bookmarks from all your Internet browsers this software will make your life easier.
