 | | PageSpy is a small and very effective tool, which helps you strip down a Website. The program can show you the source code of the webpage, analyze forms, queries, cookies, and more. In order to run the program, you need to have Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.
After the installation, PageSpy will be added to the context menu of Internet Explorer, so that you can get a quick access to the code of the page. In order to open the PageSpy window, you can right-click the web page and select 'PageSpy' from the dropdown menu, or just double-click the desktop icon.
The whole interface is made up of tabs. The tabs provide you with detailed information related to DHTML and source code, cookies, objects, DOM code, collections, etc. The current version added the ability to create your own color scheme, improved syntax highlighting option and improved JavaScript Regular Expression Tester.
Pluses: The fact that it is added in the context of the Internet Explorer menu. A very nice tool is the 'Search' option, which I found very useful when searching for certain terms within the analyzed content.
Drawbacks / flaws: It can only be used with Internet Explorer.
In conclusion: Page Spy is an important tool for any web developer or web designer.
