 | | Were you ever curious about how fast you can type? I was, and that's why I decided to try a software that can measure my typing speed. I found Typing Test TQ which is free and provides good statistics about your printing speed and accuracy.
The program works by measuring the number of words per minute (wpm) which you can type. It provides some texts with no meaning, which must be typed, by you, in a different panel on the user interface. You have to press the "Start" button on the user interface and start typing. If you get bored, or if you want to stop the test, you just press "Stop", and the results window shows up. The results contain the accuracy, the number of typing errors, the total number of words, the number of keystrokes per minute, your average typing speed, and more. You can print these results for later reference.
The average duration of a typing test is 5 minutes. This is enough for the program to get an idea about how fast you can type. The average speed of typing for a normal computer user is about 30-45 wpm (words per minute).
Pluses: Serves its purpose beautifully.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: If you are curious to see how fast you can type, download and use this program.
