 | | "DAO (Data Access Object) Generator" generates high quality source code for the Data Access Layer in service-oriented and object-oriented architecture for accessing relational database schemas. DAO-Generator follows the Data Access Object (DAO) design pattern and generates java code. Current Version of this tool supports DB2 UDB, Informix, Ingres, MaxDB, Mimer SQL, Mckoi, Oracle, SQL Server, MySql, and PostfreSQL databases to connect and generate code.
The DAO-Generator connects to a database and generates the following types of files for each entity in that database. First, the DAO Interface, which contains the insert method, the update method, the delete method, and the finder methods. Then, the DAO implementation, which contains the exception class and the value object (data transfer object), as well as the DAO factory interface, which includes the primary key class, the record count class, and the record count interface and implementation.
