Each profile contains separate settings regarding the network interface, the Internet proxy, the firewall, network drives, the default printer, and so on.
I mostly like the fact that the program supports changing the active workgroup without even having to restart Windows. You can associate a different workgroup to each profile you create. Net Profile Switch automatically joins the new workgroup when the profile is activated. I also think the automatic dial-up is a quite useful feature. It allows you to automatically connect using a dial-up networking or VPN connection whenever activating a profile.
Pluses: This program allows you to associate drive mappings to each profile. This means that when activating a profile you can automatically connect or disconnect network drives.

In conclusion: Net Profile Switch is a great application for people who own a laptop/notebook. If you need a simple way to change multiple network-related settings often, this program could be very useful.
