| | If you want to have some fun with your friends while chatting on Yahoo! Messenger, you may want to download and install 'Fake Webcam'. As shown in the title, the program broadcasts video files from your local hard drive by faking a Webcam. Now you can broadcast home movies, funny moments of your friends and family, holiday clips, etc. Instead of seeing only a face and a boring wall behind it, your friends will be entertained.
Using the program is an easy task. After installation, you need to open a video file (WMV, AVI, MPEG, MPG are the only formats supported), click 'Play' and you can broadcast a video stream for your friends to see instead of your Webcam view. The program can be used with the following instant messaging programs: Yahoo!, MSN, AOL, Paltalk, ICQ, Camfrog. The controls are basic: 'Play', Pause', 'Stop'. The quality is very good, but your CPU usage may go up to 100%.
Pluses: You can preview the video content in the inbuilt player.

| Bless you
I have a webcam but this fake webcam is a blessing. Some times I look like crap on that day & want to "mask" my ugly day look. Sounds funny but trust me, sometimes it's best to just not let people see you....

| I Had Zero Problems With The Install
This product could not be any easier to use - it defines less is more. I had zero problems with the install - could not have been easier.

| It works and its easy to use
I had a cheap webcam that refused to work with the Yahoo Messenger due to an incompatibility problem. I just installed this and Bingo! it worked, acting like real webcam.
