Fraunhofer MP3 Surround Player 2.0

MP3 Surround can be used in various ways. Internet radio stations, for example, could deliver their programs in surround audio using the same infrastructure as before.
Or music download shops could offer realistic live recordings of concerts, so everybody can enjoy multi-channel audio at home turning it into a concert hall or, if combined with video, into a cinema.
MP3 Surround supports high-quality multi-channel sound at bit rates comparable to those currently used to encode stereo MP3 material, resulting in files half the size of common compressed surround formats. At the same time, the new format offers complete backward compatibility to any existing MP3 software and hardware devices.

What's New in This Release:

· the trial period of the v 1.0 MP3 Surround Encoder will end 31st of July, V 1.1.0 will work until 31st of December 2005.
· improved file detection:
- some problems occured within the detection of multichannel content so that some files were not encoded
· improved encoding speed:
- v 1.1.0 is based on a newer version of the surround encoding library, which comes up with better encoding performance
· new player features:
- the realtime player (mp3sPlayer.exe) now comes along with a playlist (which can be accessed by the 'Open Playlist'-button in the right bottom corner) to allow you the sequential playback of different items and a repeat-function for songs.
