 | | This program is a rather simple converter from bitmap, or jpeg to ASCII format. This means that your pictures will be converted into a sequence of chars, each one having a different color, depending on the original image. Maybe you've seen games descriptions that could be opened with Notepad or Wordpad. This program can help you generate HTML pages that look like those descriptions.
The program works like this: you specify an input image and a symbol, or a set of symbols which you want to use to generate the HTML page. You can also select whether you want to add the color of each generated character to its background. The generated sequence of chars can be previewed on the program's user interface. However, I have seen that the exported HTML document looks somewhat different from the preview.
Pluses: The colors that the program chooses for each symbol, are very appropriate. The output page looks like the original image.
Drawbacks / flaws: The "Font Size" setting only works when you open the resulting HTML document with Internet Explorer. Mozilla and Opera show a fullscreen image all the time.
In conclusion: It does its work well, but the result only looks nice in Internet Explorer.
