| | novaPDF can be used to generate and save PDF documents by printing them from any application. It installs a virtual printer on your operating system which can be used by all the applications that support printing.
This printer driver has a lot of features for customizing the output PDF document. You can access these features through the novaPDF printer configuration dialog. This dialog appears when you try to configure novaPDF just like any other normal printer installed on your system. In order to configure my printers I usually go to Printers and Faxes in the Control Panel. I right click the printer which I want to configure (in this case novaPDF) and select "Printing Preferences" from the menu.
novaPDF gives you all the means necessary to completely customize the output document. You can modify the compression levels of text, high color pictures, and monochrome images separately as well as convert content to grayscale. You can also choose whether you want to embed fonts into the generated PDF document. The editing of the title, subject, or author of the PDF is also supported.
If you want to protect your document you can use either 40 or 128 bit encryption. You need to specify a password for the user and another for the owner. You can choose the actions which you want to allow by setting the document permissions. For example you could protect your document from unauthorized editing or you could restrict the user from selecting or copying text from the PDF.
Each document you create can be automatically sent by email. You have to configure a SMTP (outgoing) server in order to use this feature. The created PDF can be attached to the email with or without compression. novaPDF can detect URLs in the text you choose to print. They can automatically be converted to PDF links. It's also possible to customize the appearance of each link (ex: underlined, with border, etc.).
Pluses: novaPDF supports multiple profiles. This means that all your settings can be easily saved or loaded. Another great feature is the program's ability to put bookmarks into the PDF document it creates. Another great feature is the option of adding bookmarks. You can apply formatted text or images as watermarks. There are lots of option for customizing your watermarks, so you 'll be able to create custom quality PDF files.
