PC Auto Shutdown 3.95

'PC Auto Shutdown', as the producer claims, is suppose to help you shutdown, power off, reboot, hibernate, suspend or log off your computer at a scheduled time. You have a lot of options to configure the program. You can configure hotkeys to help you work faster with it or 'Clean up' options to perform some clean up tasks, during the shutdown action, like clear Recycle Bin, clear cookies of Internet Explorer, clear temporary file folder of Windows or clear browser history of Internet Explorer.

When testing the program I've tried to schedule a shutdown action but, instead of providing a positive number for the countdown duration, I deliberately inserted a negative value. This number should represent the seconds until the computer performs the selected action. The provided number was '-30' (seconds), but, as soon as I clicked the 'OK' button a timer appeared to show me how much do I have to wait until the selected action is performed. When I transformed this amount of seconds into years seams that I have to wait more than 100 years for my computer to perform the selected action.

You have a sound option which, according to the hint displayed in the 'Sound' window, will work only when 'the shutdown action is activated', and a password option in order to set a password to prevent other users from changing the shutdown settings.

The user interface looks like the 'Aqua' interface from Mac OS.

Pluses: It's very easy to configure.

Drawbacks / flaws: It's a little unstable.

In conclusion: I look forward for the next version which, I hope to be a lot better.
