| Never worked once I never actually was able to get it to work. First, if you don't supply it any switches, just type "vbstoexe" and press enter, you get a cryptic error. The same if you try supply the standard MS platform /? or /help switches. Luckily, when I downloaded it, I also saved the download page, so was able to determine that the help screen switch is the more 'linuxy' -h. While "vbstoexe -h" supplied me with the helpscreen, I still mistakenly supplied the -e switch to convert to an executable, it asked for a password, I hit enter, and it locked up. At this point CTRL-C would not cause vbstoexe to end and it was using 99% of the CPU, so I was forced to end the it via taskmanager. After this incident every attempt to invoke vbstoexe simply locked up, even passing it the -h request for help, or even with no switches at all. Even a reboot does not fix this issue, nor did re-downloading the file in the hope that somehow the exe got messed up. There were no extra (settings or ini) files created in the working directory, so right now I'm forced to conclude that this program makes some kind of change to your computer, possibly in the registry, and since I supplied it with the wrong switch at the wrong time, it will never ever work right, unless I care to track down the registry entry and change it manually. read 1 replies | » reply to this review was this review helpful? - report abuse 453 of 895 users found this review helpful | | | | | | Displaying: 1-2 from 2 | 1 | Related software downloads for Vbs To Exe 1.1 |
