JLG Extended Keyboard Layout purpose is to allow the user entering special character from a US QWERTY keyboard like latin characters with accent, cedillas and other diacritic signs in a intuitive, ergonomic and easy to remember way.
Example:
é = CTRL + <quote>, then e
à = CTRL + <backquote>, then a
ø = CTRL + /, then o...
