AVG gives me 3 false positives in last month I used AVG but each version is worst. The program give me a false positive with ITunes and my pc was down. I had to format!!! Before was a good AV now is not good. :_(
AVG 8.0 Free the best so far... i been using different anti virus for a while, searching for the right one for my pc. until avg 8.0 free edition came, it solve my pc prblems. AVG 8.0 Free has the ff component Resident Shield is very active in scanning every file in details, but takes a lot of memory Rapid Updates Forum support Very nice GUI compared to competetitor AVAST, AVIRA and PC Tools Anti-Virus and Anti spyware w/ link scanner (which is very useful, its like mc affe site advisor) Email Scanner CONS: TAKES A LOT OF MEMORY SPECIALLY THE RESIDENT SHIELD Overall its a complete package for a free anti virus its better to hav this on your machine together with Windows Defender. you will feel very protective. Competitors Avira - lacking of anti spyware, ang mail scanner(but takes very low system resources) Avast - lacking of schedule scanning(but also great) PC Tools - lacking of anti spyware(but very fast in scanning and takes very low system resources.
Really bad program. I´ve to format the PC.... twices!! Before this was a great software now it´s really BAD, so slow so heavy and the worst is that gives too many false positives in the system. Like with ITunes and windows system files!! :_( Not use.
